This eco-friendly milk tea shop started when Melanie Dilao and Jade Joquino, two science teachers based in Thailand, could not go back to their teaching jobs. Their trip back to the Philippines was a vacation that became permanent when the global pandemic was declared and community quarantines started. Instead of being idle, they took a risk and started their milk tea business.

To make their shop different from other milk tea shops, they thought of a concept that not only was appealing to their customers but would also impact the local community. Maasin in Iloilo is the bamboo capital of the country, and Darlings' eco-friendly option is a fantastic way to support a local and sustainable product while enjoying a delicious drink, too.

Darlings' Milktea is located Maasin, Iloilo, Mohon Terminal Talipapa, and Namocon, Tigbauan in Iloilo. Visit Darlings' Milktea on Facebook for more information.
