Over the past decade or so, Lee Sung Kyung has quickly transitioned from a newcomer to a crowd favorite. Most of us fans have witnessed her work her charm before as the titular character in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo. Since then, Sung Kyung has continually proven her acting chops, collecting quite the number of accolades along the way.

The 31-year-old has embodied a wide variety of roles in her career, from doctors and athletes, to everyday girls with not-so-everyday supernatural abilities. Lucky for us, we can look forward to catching her on Shooting Stars, her newest project alongside Kim Young Dae and Yoon Jong Hoon, soon. 1. Flower of the Queen (2015)

With her eyes set on success, Rena Jung works her way towards becoming a cooking show host. Chasing her dreams, however, come at the expense of her daughter, Kang Yi-sol (Sung Kyung), whom she had to give up for adoption. One day, the two unexpectedly cross paths again, each with their own respective suitors, Park Min-joon and Park Jae-joon.

2. The Doctors (2016)

Growing up in unideal situations has pushed Yoo Hye-jung to become somewhat of a rebel. She finds herself taking on a career as a doctor, with Hong Ji-hong serving as her mentor. Within those hollowed hospital halls, Ji-hong starts to thaw Hye-jung's icy heart. For this one, Sung Kyung plays Jin Seon-woo, a neurosurgeon who antagonizes Hye-jung after she sees her growing closeness with Ji-hong.

3. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo (2016)

Kim Bok-joo can lift the heaviest of weights, but she begins to grow soft for fellow athelete Jung Joon-hyung. Eventually, winning a gold medal for her sport isn't the only thing she has her eyes set on anymore.

4. While You Were Sleeping (2017)

Sung Kyung only makes a quick cameo in this one, but the story's still worth the binge, nonetheless. Nam Hong-joo was born with the peculiar ability to foresee both good and bad events in the future. She lives with her mother, Yoon Moon-sun, and is neighbors with prosecutor Jung Jae-chan, who has the same telling dreams as Hong-joo. One night, Jae-chan has a strange dream that shows him an unfortunate incident which might happen to Hong-joo. He interferes and saves her life, though this leads the two of them to be intertwined in occult ways.

5. About Time (2018)

Michaela Choi dreams of becoming a musical actress, but she doesn't have all the time in the world to pursue it. What she does have though is a special skill to see how much time a person has left in their lives. When she meets Lee Do-ha, she notices that her lifespan pauses when she's with him. Michaela basically glues herself to Do-ha, thinking that doing so will indefinitely extend her life.

6. Dr. Romantic 2 (2020)

The Doldam Hospital houses Kim Sa-bu, who used to be considered as the country's top surgeon. He takes rookies Seo Woo-jin and Cha Eun-jae under his wing, in hopes of keeping the hospital up and running.

7. Love+Sling (2018)

Sung-woong has all the skill but none of the passion for wrestling. Unaware that his son is not one bit interested in the sport, Gui-bo supports his endeavors. The father-son duo then face off against each other when Woong's crush, Ga-young, unironically falls for Gui-bo instead.

8. Miss & Mrs. Cops (2019)

A tenured cop whose hay days are far gone, Mi-yeong teams up with newbie officer Ji-hye to resolve a case involving women victimized by sex trafficking. The crime just hits too close to home for the two, which pushes them to bridge their generational gap and to take matters into their own hands.
