Wearing sunscreen shouldn't have to feel like a chore. It's a product we use every day, after all, so the less fuss, the better. We wouldn't say no to additional skincare perks either, which leads to one of our best skincare discoveries of 2021—and Preview Beauty Awards winner—the Two Lips Screen.
The Brand
Screen hails from the world's first luxury intimate care range for the vulva, Two Lips. You may have heard of their vulva sheet masks, but the brand eventually expanded their range with products that can be used on the face and every part of the body. This includes a cleanser, scrub, moisturizer, an overnight mask, and a sunscreen—all of which are infused with prebiotics.
The Formula
Two Lips' Screen boasts of a lightweight, water-based, and paraben-free formula that's perfect for our warm climes. It provides SPF 50 PA+++, courtesy of a UV filter called methylene bis-benzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol, or MBBT for short. It also contains niacinamide to help refine pores, and sodium hyaluronate (a type of hyaluronic acid) to maintain hydration and comfortable wear. Last but definitely not the least, it's infused with prebiotics to balance good and bad bacteria, promoting a healthier skin barrier.
Packaging and Performance
While most sunscreens come in squeeze tubes, the Screen is packaged in a pump bottle with a twist-lock. The pump makes it easy to control how much product you dispense, and the product doesn't collect on the spout either. Two to three pumps are all you need to have enough for your face and neck.
In terms of texture, it's about as runny as your average serum. It goes on lightly and smoothly over the skin, blends in with minimal effort, and doesn't give off any sort of white cast. In fact, if you want to keep your routine minimal for the day, it's hydrating enough to replace your moisturizer!
That said, we think this sunscreen's most addictive feature is the glow it gives after application. It'll leave you with the prettiest glass skin-like finish without making you look greasy—no highlighter or foundation needed. Even those with oily skin can pull it off, and you might even want to put on more just to get the full effect. Overall, Screen will definitely make wearing sunscreen daily a treat. The fact that you can also use it all over your body turns it into such a worth-it splurge, too.
