This month's My Life in Beauty puts the spotlight on Asia's Next Top Model cycle 3 runner up Monika Sta. Maria and her doable fitness routine. A gig in Shanghai put things in perspective when her client asked her to lose weight in three days as part of their contract. "I was never stick thin enough. I tried so many diets, but I really don't have that super skinny body [that other models do]. I realized in the end that I just have to be the best version of myself." Monika says.
Below she shares four key mindsets to starting that healthy journey to being the fitter (and better) you.
1. EYES ON THE PRIZE
Don't be disheartened to start at the bottom.
2. SET GOALS EVERY DAY
However small, it can make a huge difference.
3. DO A POST-WORKOUT ACTIVITY
It provides tension relief after a hard workout.
4. EAT HEALTHY
It's a slow and steady process. There's no quick fix.
