Makeup artists are constantly on the lookout for beauty brands with standout potential. They test products across a wide range of skin tones and skin types, developing valuable insights into their performance before earning them a permanent place in their professional kits. As a result, they often discover emerging brands long before the rest of the beauty community does.
Preview checked in with Filipino makeup artists to find out which underrated beauty brands are currently on their radar.
What Beauty Brand Is Still Highly Underrated?
IN2IT
“One underrated beauty brand I’d recommend is IN2IT. Although it’s been around for years, IN2IT is often overlooked in favor of trendier makeup brands. However, it has built a strong reputation for offering reliable, affordable, and beginner-friendly products that perform well for everyday wear. Many of its products are designed to withstand heat and humidity, making them especially suitable for tropical climates.
“My favorite IN2IT product is the brow powder, which has been a staple in my professional kit. I love it because it’s easy to use, highly pigmented, and features three versatile shades in one palette, allowing me to create natural to more defined brows for different clients.”

Dasique and WAKEMAKE
“I’d say Dasique and WAKEMAKE, both Korean brands. Dasique blushes and lip products have a variety of beautiful and wearable shades, while WAKEMAKE eyeshadow palettes are best for soft, effortless looks. They can be built up to be smoky too.
“I love mixing their cool, neutral, and warm tones because most Filipinas lean more neutral—not overly cool or overly warm—so blending more shades creates the most flattering match.”

Browit by Nongchat
“Have to say Browit by Nongchat. For me, it's under the radar compared to the massive international names, but it’s an absolute lifesaver. It’s actually a permanent staple in my makeup kit, and it’s exactly what I trust to use on my clients. Since it’s a Thai brand, it’s quite literally made for our crazy humid weather. If you want the ultimate smudgeproof makeup that actually survives a hot, sticky day here in Manila, they are completely unmatched.
“If you’re going to try just one thing, grab their precise slim eyeliner. The tip is super fine, which makes it incredibly easy to get a really clean, sharp line. What I like about it is, once it sets, it does not budge. No smearing, no melting! it just stays perfectly locked in all day.”

Strokes, Absidy, and Lovely Causemetics
“So much actually, such as the Strokes eyebrow pens, the Absidy powders, and the Lovely Causemetics illuminators. They’re personal discoveries of my own.
“I think Filipino makeup brands in general really compete on an international scale in quality and formula! My kit is a good mix of international and local brands.”

Clinique, Teviant, Strokes, and Absidy
“Although it’s a classic, Clinique is not the most talked about. I'm obsessed with their Cheek Pop Powder Blush; it’s both in my professional and my personal kits. The color selection and the healthy radiance that it provides make it deserving of the spotlight. I also love their Moisture Surge line.
“Other underrated products, specifically in the local scene, are the Teviant concealer, the Strokes cream contour and brow products, and the Absidy blushes and bullet lipsticks. I love that these brands are really creating tones and formulas that are meant for Filipinos. They are not as hyped up for how good their products are.”

Naturale
“For me, an underrated local beauty brand is Naturale. Their products are all original formulas that are always so intentionally and meticulously developed. I highly recommend their Through Textures Skin Enhancer Hydrating Concealer, which is my favorite for packing on coverage, especially for high-glam editorial looks!”

Clocheflame
“I think Clocheflame is a brand that deserves more love and attention from the rest of the beauty market! Their new Bask Balms are some of the best cream bronzers or brontours available, even in comparison with international brands.”

Lovely Causemetics
“I’d say Lovely Causemetics is an underrated beauty brand. As a makeup artist, I genuinely love their base products. They perform beautifully on different skin types and deliver high-quality results without breaking the bank.
“If you’re planning to try the brand, I’d recommend starting with my favorite—the Beyond Blur Skin Illuminator. It’s one of my go-to products whenever I want to achieve a fresh, healthy, glowing complexion for my clients. It gives the skin a beautiful natural radiance, layers seamlessly under foundation, and never disappoints.”
