Think she only cares for Birkins and Kellys?

Far be it from us to carelessly assume that Heart Evangelista, purveyor of ladylike elegance and nifty-luxe styling tricks, has a taste reserved exclusively for her beloved Birkins and Kellys and Constances. In fact, if you make the extra effort to peer in just a tad closer, you'll notice that her enviable handbag collection is huge, yes, but also delightfully diverse! Keep scrolling to read our observant little primer on the non-Hermès numbers she adores to bits. Spoiler: Be prepared to spy some limited-edition releases, an exquisite offering from a young local master, and an ubiquitous monogrammed canvas that's surprisingly, comparatively affordable.

1. Bumgarner Studios Harlow

Mark Bumgarner, easily one of Heart's dearest friends and most trusted Philippine fashion talents—catch her donning one of his stunning creations on any given occasion—very recently branched out from bespoke ball gowns, dainty ready-to-wear, and fun feathered shoes to producing a line of tasteful exotic-skin purses. You can bet Heart owns a slew of them already!

"I think it’s a natural progression as a designer to venture into other businesses other than just clothes. To me shoes, bags, and jewelry complement my clothes so I look at it as holistic approach to being a brand," Mark told Preview.ph in an interview last March. "I chose to use exotic leather in my shoes and bags because there [aren't] many brands that offer these kinds of materials at fairly affordable prices. Apart from its beauty, exotic leather is also challenging to work with, but it was all worth it."

And Mark's personal favorite? "The Harlow mini handbag in croc leather." Heart clearly concurs.

2. Chanel Backpack

We've long sung the praises of a backpack as the ultimate, ideal travel buddy—but make it Chanel and watch your style points instantly overflow. The merits of bringing one on a much-anticipated, globetrottin' trip seriously just keep adding up. If you've been second-guessing whether or not to finally purchase your very own, let Heart goad you into making that big cobalt Caviar leather splurge that we're pretty sure you won't ever regret! Hands free is the way to go, whether you're set to board that long-haul flight landing somewhere special or simply running city errands.

3. Coach Dreamer

There's certainly a slew of lofty, telltale monograms to choose from these days, thanks to fashion's present, persistent obsession with logomania. Here's a suggestion for selection: Consider Coach's iconic Cs! We've never been quiet about praising current creative director Stuart Vevers' youthful revamp of the American heritage brand, after all, and neither has Ms. Love Marie.

Sure, Heart's got an enviable closet filled to the brim with the aforementioned colorful, jaw-dropping array of Hermes goodies—still, that hasn't stopped her from falling for the Dreamer bag's fringed and studded iteration. It's a cool fusion of boho babe and '70s rockstar, we think.

4. Fendi Micro Monster Baguette

Layering is, no doubt, a styling skill that must be honed to perfection. Just think of the outfit repeating opportunities. We have some noted masters nearby: There's Claudia Barretto, whose penchant for leveling dainty gold necklaces is unmatched, and Mari Jasmine, who knows a trick (or 20!) on how to make the most of a black turtleneck. But, Heart interjects, have you ever considered layering...designer bags? Allow her to demonstrate.

Zoom in and then believe your eyes. She's definitely carrying her favorite shiny black exotic-skin Birkin and a fuzzy little guest at the same time. Casually (and literally) hangin' out is her adorable, tiny Fendi Micro Monster Baguette! Meant to dangle from its bigger sibs like a very cute, very angry-looking keychain, this pocket-sized baby easily multiplies anyone's street cred twice over. So will you jump in on the double bag trend? No? Well, note that Heart's carried her mini critter solo, too.

5. Sequioa Heart

In case you missed it--though we're not sure exactly how you possibly could have—Heart punctuated her stint as the first Filipina to become Sequoia's muse via a celebrated collaboration with the French label last January. The result? The namesake Heart she personally designed alongside the Paris-based team! The brand described it as "a perfect reflection of the identities of both parties. When the fashion world tends to standardize all bags, Love Marie and Sequoia drew an iconic shape, easily recognizable."

The excitement surrounding this perfect pairing was fanned further aflame by news breaking that it was a certified limited edition. Only 100 precious pieces of it were made, each one stamped with a code that would tell you precisely which number your got your hands on. If you happen to be among the lucky few, we're still jealous!

6. Tod's D-Styling

There's something undeniably appealing about high-end arm candy that'll readily accompany you to both busy work days and loungey weekend brunches. It's the hallmark of a truly refined wardrobe—after all, if you're about to make an investment, why not consider its total, overall versatility? The sumptuous, iconic Tod's D-Styling is an ideal choice, Heart advises. Her sunny, supple marigold version pairs great with a dainty, pleated, perforated frock dotted by vibrant springtime blooms.

7. Christian Louboutin Manilacaba

Remember how Christian Louboutin, the world-renowned designer best known for his iconic red-lacquered soles, dropped a line of bags in 2018 that took inspiration from our very own country's ever-bustling capital?Aptly named Manilacaba, the designer worked with the GREAT Women Brand platform in the Philippines to release two totes, both done in a curated mix of traditional weaves and bearing our busy streets' signature jeepney. A peek inside reveals more Pinoy-flavored touches: a colorful flurry of jeeps emblazoned with words like "Makati," "Philippines," "With Love," and "No Selfies."

If you recall, Christian actually paid Manila a visit back in November 2017, when he was seen attending events and spending quality time with some of the country's A-listers...including, of course, Heart herself. It came as no surprise that he was so charmed by her that he ended up gifting her the bag (with a handwritten note, naturally) some time later!
