The ABS-CBN Ball proved to be one of the most stylish events of the year, especially with big celebrities arriving on the red carpet clad in the prettiest dresses. Everyone brought their A-game, including Kim Chiu, who was dressed to the nines wearing a lavish and very intricate Michael Cinco creation.
Kim was decked out in a jet black gown that featured a glittering bodice, which cascades into ball skirt with a swarm of opulent butterflies. Stylist Patty Yap was responsible for the look, taking into considerion Kim's specific request to wear a Michael Cinco for the ball. "I sent photos from The Impalpable Dream of CHRYSALIS Spring-Summer 2018 collection and Kim chose this intricate black ball gown," Michael tells Preview.
"It was custom-made for Kim," Michael adds. The piece bore hand-painted butterflies on the voluminous tulle skirt and was embellished with multi-colored Swarovski crystals. The designer also reveals that "it took 500 hours to make the gown with exquisite beadwork, which was made by skilled artisans."
Wearing an intricate gown poised to be a sure showstopper, Kim kept her beauty look sleek and minimal. Her skillful restraint balanced the whole look and made a lasting impact on the red carpet.
