In this time of the widespread coronavirus, people all over the world are taking the precautionary measures to stay healthy. Other people are doing it a bit more creatively, as seen in the street style looks during Paris Fashion Week—people were matching their face masks to their outfits! Well, your local style maven, Heart Evangelista, has come up with her own fashown response with her signature flair.
On her Instagram stories, the celebrity shared snippets of her and stylist Kat Cruz-Villanueva's DIY project. Their form of bonding? Making. Face. Masks. "Alright, so Kat and I are coming up with masks that are prettier because life goes on and there's work... and wala akong choice! We are making ourselves fashionably safe," she says.
We all know that Heart is pretty crafty, so we weren't surprised to see all her art materials scattered on her desk, while Kat was busy stitching up a face mask.
"So basically, this mask is from Japan but it cannot be [worn to combat against] the virus, so you have to stitch the ones that have the filter like what Kat is doing. And then, we're gonna put this cute Chanel ribbon that's from a perfume or some product..." Heart says while flaunting her array of designer ribbons, which came from her previous purchases.
"We're gonna make this happen," she boldly declares.
Lo and behold, Heart and Kat did make the magic happen. The end result? A nude face mask accented with a brown Hermès logo ribbon.
"You just have to be creative," she explains.
Based on her last Instagram story that documented her progress, it appeared that Heart's next DIY mask was a salmon pink one, ready to receive a Dior treatment.
Perhaps she's got more designer ribbons to recycle? We'll have to wait and see.
