Demna Gvasalia is shaking up the luxury fashion scene with his showings at Gucci. The creative director has effectively struck the sweet spot between honoring the house's codes and breathing new life into them.
With Generation Gucci, a follow-up to his viral La Famiglia collection, he stages a "fashion show that never happened" with archetypal ensembles that speak to today's Gucci guys and gals. Among the pieces debuted under his name is the Paparazzo, a carrier that packs as much sprezzatura as it does a punch.
Meet the Gucci Paparazzo
In some ways, Generation Gucci serves as a bridge between the tongue-in-cheek stylings of La Famiglia and the palpable sensuality of Primavera. A palette cleanser, if you will, the Pre-Fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection sought to capture vignettes of "Gucci-ness" through 84 looks, all photographed by Demna himself. This translated to sleek suiting, saturated hues, and multi-textural combinations.

Such codes were encapsulated by the Paparazzo, which, as its name suggests, possesses qualities that deserve to be seen. Compared to the doctor's bag silhouette of its sister bag, the Borsetto, the Paparazzo has a slouchier, more nonchalant shape. It also uses a flap-style opening rather than a zipper. Both pieces carry two of the label's most unmistakable indicators: the gold Horsebit upfront, and the tri-colored Web pattern nesting it.
How Much the Gucci Paparazzo Costs
The Paparazzo comes in two main iterations: medium, measuring 12.6 inches in width, 9.4 inches in height, and 6.7 inches in depth; and large, measuring 14.6 inches in width, 11.4 inches in height, and 5.1 inches in depth. Both sizes promise to be worthy companions on one's everyday jaunts, as they can fit most, if not all, of your essentials.
The medium version costs nearly P200,000, while the large one fetches over P240,000. The piece is available in either monogram canvas, sand-hued suede, or black leather.

Style Stars Wearing the Gucci Paparazzo
A purse with as much personality as the Paparazzo has garnered approval from some of Asia's most stylish. Among the ladies who have added it to their rotation is Marian Rivera, who offsets a floral frock with a sleek black version. Similarly, Chinese style star Tian Xiwei wears the patent piece to elevate her casual basics. Meanwhile, the logo-tastic style gets nods from Malaysian-Hong Kong actress Fish Liew and, of course, our perennial it girl Anne Curtis.
Even the gents have gotten their fix of the Paparazzo. The Philippines' Brent Manalo, for one, tops off his all-Gucci fit with the leather tote. It's the same protocol for Chinese heartthrobs Zhang Ling He, Zhou Yiran, and Song Weilong, who have each chosen between the neutral and monogram designs.
Thailand's sartorial set have also been enamored by the Paparazzo's sleek stylings. Each rocking their own pick, Pond Naravit, Davika Hoorne, Gulf Kanawut, and Billkin all exemplify that the right bag can do all of the talking.
The Paparazzo is now available at Gucci boutiques in the Philippines, including its flagship stores at Greenbelt 4 in Makati and Solaire Resort in Parañaque, as well as through the brand’s official website.
For Philippine availability and exact pricing, interested buyers are best advised to inquire directly in-store, where clients can also view the full range and experience the pieces' craftsmanship up close.
