If you’re not caught up yet, Chinese dramas have been all the rage these days—and one of the most buzzworthy shows today is Netflix’s Pursuit of Jade, topbilled by Gucci ambassador Zhang Ling He.
Since debuting in 2020, the 28-year-old quickly rose to prominence. Often cast as the romantic male lead, Ling He has headlined fan-favorite series like Love Between Fairy and Devil, My Journey to You, and Story of Kunning Palace.
Within the Asian entertainment circuit, he’s frequently described as one of China’s most notable rising actors, praised for both his charming onscreen presence and emotional range. As his reach expands globally, it’s only natural that major houses have caught wind of his growing influence. In fact, in July 2024, Gucci named Ling He as global ambassador, placing him alongside a powerhouse lineup that includes BTS’ Jin, IU, and Jay Park.
Since then, Linghe has delivered a steady stream of double-tap-worthy looks. Whether in relaxed tailoring or formal eveningwear, he seems to ully embody Gucci’s sense of "sprezzatura"—that distinctly Italian sense of effortless grace.

Casual suiting
Ling He taps into the off-duty, ’90s heartthrob energy dressed in a full runway look from the Generation Gucci line (Pre-Fall 2026). Wearing Look No. 8, he pairs a gingham wool single-breasted jacket with a cotton poplin shirt and stretch denim trousers.
He rounds out the look with black python leather-sole moccasins and a belt finished with an Interlocking G buckle. In hand: a languid Gucci Paparazzo large top-handle bag, adding structure to the otherwise relaxed ensemble.
Double denim

Here, Ling He demonstrates the power of a well-made suit, such as this one from the La Famiglia collection. He punctuates the look with a black satin bow tie and a cummerbund to extend the silhouette. A diamond brooch introduces a hit of cobalt, matching the vibrant dial of his luxurious timepiece.
A case for slim suits
Boxy tailoring may be everyone's favorite, but a slim-cut blazer is well worth adding to one’s rotation, too. The cinched waist and narrow sleeves create a more elongated shape, especially in a single-tone palette like this all-black number.

At the Gucci Cruise 2026 show in May 2025, Ling He opted for a lived-in, mocha-toned leather jacket layered over a heather-gray button-down and a matching tie. He completes the look with tapered trousers and classic leather dress shoes to strike a balance between tailored and laid-back.
