Meet the designers behind "Fashion for Frontliners."

In light of the scarcity of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which serves as our frontliners’ first line of defense, some fashion designers have been pooling in their talent and resources to help manufacture these essential garments.

Fashion for Frontliners is the latest team of local designers to join forces hoping to address this need. The group’s members are Yong Davalos, Steph Tan, Dre Tetangco, Rob Ortega, Jot Losa, Debbie Co, Jill Lao, Vina RomeroDaryl Maat, Rosenthal Tee, and Bessie Besana. The team was formed last March 24, and production swiftly began three days later.

What is "Fashion for Frontliners"?

Fashion for Frontliners is a non-profit group of designers who produce PPEs for donations. The PPEs are made of lightweight and waterproof Taslan fabric. These are not medical-grade protective gear but are medically approved by doctors.

The PPEs are donated to the following hospitals: Philippine General Hospital, Lung Center, Heart Center, Amang Rodriguez Hospital, UERMC, Orthopedic Center, and San Juan Medical Center. The PPEs are not for sale, but the group is accepting orders from hospitals that will be sold at cost

We are also researching cost-effective versions so we can produce more for our frontliners. Majority of our frontliners have no protection at all.
