Since Ylona Garcia dropped her fun, '50s-inspired pre-debut video last January, we've been on our toes waiting for the official theme of the debut itself. Well, Ylona held her much-anticipated celebration last night, and it appears that she took guests back to a time way before the poodle skirt-filled fifties.
The venue, Palazzo Verde, was transformed by Gideon Hermosa to look like a French cabaret-meets-banquet hall with crimson red drapes and lights, towering rose bouquets, and glimmering chandeliers. The dinner tables were also decked out with glass candelabras and vintage, Victorian-era lamps.
Just as glamorous was Ylona's look of the evening. She donned an ivory-colored evening gown designed by Patricia Santos, which featured a bustier top and a voluminous ball skirt. She finished off the look with a three-strand diamond necklace by JJ Jiao.
As for her beauty look, makeup artist Jelly Eugenio opted for a glowing makup look with minimal blush and a bold red lip as the focal point. Her hair was styled by Nantey West into a half-updo with relaxed waves and loose tendrils that framed her face.
Ylona opened the night with a romantic medley. She serenaded guests with classic songs that eventually turned into more upbeat tunes.
True to tradition, Ylona's program consisted of an "18 Roses" segment, which included the host of the evening, Robi Domingo.
To get everyone in a good, festive mood, Ylona turned up the energy and belted out fun, retro pop songs such as "Stupid Cupid." During these performances, she flaunted a feathery frock from LightShineWhite, which fit in well with the night's cabaret theme.
From being an elegant princess to a retro pop songstress, Ylona then transformed into a jazz singer with a matching outfit to boot. She donned a metal gray spaghetti-strapped mini dress which gave us major Amy Winehouse vibes!
Celebrity guests included Kira Balinger, Dr. Hayden Kho, and Magui Ford (who just held her own debut the night before!).
Prior to the event, Ylona snapped some photos wearing a custom dress from LightShineWhite and chandelier earrings from JJ Jiao. She nailed the old-world vibe by wearing white opera gloves!
The regal red and gold theme was consistent throughout the event, from the invitations, to the cake, right down to the giveaway!
Based on all the happy faces that were captured during the event, we're sure everyone enjoyed celebrating Ylona's birthday, which was definitely done with elegance.
Happy 18th birthday, Ylona!
