At this point, there's no escaping Squid Game, the Korean thriller-drama that's taken the world by storm. In fact, it's already one of Netflix's most popular shows of all time, and it wouldn't be much of a stretch to claim that it's possibly the most talked-about show to come out of 2021. Not to mention the fact that white slip-on Vans have spiked by 7,800 percent in sales since the series' premiere. It's absolutely crazy.
In addition to being absorbed into the compelling world of the morbid game, fans from all over the world have enjoyed watching the cast and crew bask in their newfound success. (ICYDK, the series' director and creator, Hwang Dong Hyuk, was turned away from studios for over a decade, until Netflix decided to give Squid Game a chance in 2019!) Of course, the cast's lives, too, have been forever changed by the show's groundbreaking impact. Case in point: The Instagram accounts of the four main characters—Lee Jung Hae, Park Hae Soo, Jung Ho Yeon, and Wi Ha Joon—have completely ballooned. In less than a month, they each gained followers in the millions. Imagine that!
