She immortalized the core memory with a variety of short films, too, from lipsyncs and runway views to fittings and unboxing videos.

It’s easy to see that Gabbi was a natural in front of the camera. Apart from her innate talent, and the joy and thrill of the new experience, this could also be due to the man behind the lens—none other than her long-time beau, Khalil Ramos.

The couple, of more than eight years, have starred in a movie and a music video before, so they're certainly no strangers to working together. Of course, who can forget Front-Seat Foodies? Their three-season series brought happiness to thousands during the pandemic, as they virtually took audiences with them when they embarked on road trips to remarkable food spots in the Philippines.

As Khalil’s love and interest for photography and videography grew, he would frequently have Gabbi as his muse, sharing photos of her and of their travels together. He also often captures eye-catching scenes he encounters in the streets, and he shares them all through his photography account, @shotbykhalilr.

For the occasion, Khalil utilized the Leica Q2. While it has a number of impressive features, one of its standout qualities is its autofocus system, which aids photographers in achieving a sharp focus on their subject within milliseconds. You surely won’t miss any important moments with this one.

Leica M6

Gabbi’s morena skin is made even more radiant by golden hour, which Khalil captured on film using the Leica M6. The analogue camera is compact and discreet—it’s anything but intimidating, allowing muses to express themselves freely. It has been a photographer-favorite since 1984, making it one of the iconic creations of the German brand. As for the lens, he used the Leica Summilux-M 50, which is the standard for natural perspectives. We’re almost literally seeing Gabbi through Khalil’s eyes.

Shooting with thought and intention, Khalil loaded the camera with the Kodak Gold 200, a 35mm film roll formulated to capture the warmth exuded in every moment. Its saturation is perfect for mellow moments like such.

Contax G1

“Where time slows and beauty lingers” was how Khalil described the Cotswolds, United Kingdom, one of the couple’s recent travel destinations. With the Contax G1, he translated the place’s serene ambiance into photographs, which feature Gabbi’s peaceful smile. The film camera could be considered as a professional point-and-shoot, given its notable features such as its automatic film handling, light and flash metering, and autofocus system.
