Professional makeup artists share the top two most requested bridal beauty looks right now.

Your big day will be one of the most photographed events of your life. All eyes will turn to you once you take the first step to your wedding march and you begin your journey to happily ever after. That’s why choosing your bridal look (and the artist that will execute it!) can be just as important as picking the right wedding gown. After all, it's not just about looking good, you have to feel good, too! This is your once-in-a-lifetime fairy tale affair, after all.

No clue where to start? We asked four celebrity makeup artists to weigh in on the biggest bridal beauty trends and what looks are most requested right now for a little bit of inspiration.

The top 2 most requested bridal beauty looks right now, according to professional makeup artists:

Across the board, it was unanimous that at the moment, natural and glowing is in. “I feel like bridal makeup here is slowly transitioning to glowy and natural makeup looks that’s fresh, youthful and radiant,” Anthea Bueno reveals.

Jelly Eugenio attributes this preference for the undone, barely there aesthetic to the fact that “a lot of people didn’t wear makeup during the whole pandemic break so they've felt more comfortable in wearing less or almost no makeup.”

Plus, Mark Qua quips, “most brides just want to look like themselves,” declaring also that a natural, glowing bride will always be timeless.

But just because the trend is veering to the more natural side doesn't mean that it's dull or boring! Far from it, brides opting for this kind of makeup emits a luster that is both ethereal and stunning.

“I also noticed recently that brides would want to stand out, but without having [an] over the top look, compared in the past where [it was] ultra bridal glam from head to toe,” Carissa Cielo Medved, who did Kris Bernal’s bridal makeup, shares. Although Carissa's signature look is a "soft smokey bridal glam", she adds that "an elegant composition of the neutral or earthy tone hues still gives me that “wow” moment."

Excited to learn more? Below are some makeup techniques and tips to help bring this trend to life:

1. Start with proper skin prep.

Carissa: “I always tell my clients 'good skin before good makeup' is the key ingredient. Gorgeous skin is another huge focus right now and serves as the perfect base for wedding day makeup.”

2. Less is more! Opt for more light weight options.

Jelly: “I use less foundation so the skin shows through, and I always use individual lashes which are more lightweight and comfortable instead of heavy strip lashes.”

3. Bring the “blush” to the blushing bride.

Jelly: "Now, I've really been loving blush, and a lot of my brides are enjoying it, too."

4. Keep the colors natural!

Mark: “[Best] colors [are] usually from neutral to soft pinks or peach.”

5. To get that bridal glow, strobing is your best bet!

Carissa: “I think simple strobing teaching is the wedding and bridal makeup trend. The technique involves illuminating strategic spots to give the skin a healthier and fresh look. So, whether they opt for a soft smokey bridal or classic neutral, or whatever pop of eye color look, you can still [see] the glow in the face!”

6. Don't be afraid to add a bit more drama for the reception.

Jelly: "For the reception, I make sure to give them a touch of a timeless glamour: a little bit more definition on the eyes and contour, perfect for a romantic evening celebration."

7. Lastly, be yourself.

Anthea: "To me a bridal look is very personal and should be tailored to the brides personality and preference. It is a collaborative effort after all."
