Preview asked master cutter Henri Calayag of Henri Calayag Salon for some insight. “A bob cut may look easy to cut, but it’s the most precise and tedious haircut to do,” he says. “One secret of a good bob [or lob] is in the thin, fine sectioning, so that it will come out as blunt. Also in following the curvature of the neck to the jaw and chin.” They do say that drawing a straight line, or a perfect circle, is one of the most difficult skills to perfect.
