Here's your ultimate guide to achieving that perfectly chiseled selfie!

So you want to rock a golden, bronzy glow but there’s just no time to head to the beach, go sunbathing, or bask in the sun? It's totally fine. Adding a bronzer to your makeup routine is the next best thing. Similar to blush and contour, bronzers add warmth and dimension to your face, creating a healthy, sun-kissed glow.

How to Apply Bronzer

We talked to makeup artist Chuchie Ledesma about how the bronzing step can help you achieve perfectly glowing and sunkissed skin. Chuchie suggests using a big fluffy brush to sculpt and accentuate when applying. She explains, “You want to start with as little amount of product as possible on your face and gradually build it as you finish your whole face. I use the 'number 3' guide when a beginner asks me where to put the bronzers.” She suggests applying the product first on the forehead temple, bringing the stroke to the cheekbone and swiping down to frame the jawline, mimicking a number three sign with the brush. Remember to blend and to add a bit of product on your ears as well to bring the whole look together.

Finding the Perfect Shade

After nailing the technique, it’s time to choose the right shade for your skintone. Start with laying out bronzers that are one to two shades darker than your natural tone. Chuchie notes, "Lighter skin tones (also depending on the undertone) may go for peachy bronzers, while darker tones may go for warm golden browns. Avoid shades that are too orange as they’ll make you look sunburnt instead of sunkissed."
