But just because we’re lacking the extra help to make us look as flawless doesn’t mean we should totally ditch the idea that we can look fresh in the morning. Here, we round up a few fuss-free makeup looks that allow you to fake #IWokeUpLikeThis with just a handful of products.
1. A bit of concealer goes a long way
If you’re blessed with great skin, skip the foundation and just use a bit of concealer to brighten dark spots and neutralize redness. The goal is to cover up areas where you look most tired by using the least amount of product, thus evening out your skin tone and getting a brighter complexion.
Do this when: You want to look fresh while running early morning errands. Who needs to look plakado at the grocery anyway?
2. Load up on the mascara
Martine Cajucom once told us that when she hasn’t got the time, she turns to a tube of mascara to instantly brighten and open up her peepers. Find a tube that’ll lengthen and add volume to your lashes so you can make do without the curler for when you’re really in a hurry.
Do this when: You’ve got a long day ahead of you at the office and you just want to look presentable without looking too done.
3. Get an instant flush with some lip and cheek tint
Oftentimes, we tend to look pale upon waking up. One way to avoid this is by using a lip and cheek tint to add color to your face. Top it off with a bit of petroleum jelly on the lips and lids and you’ve got an instant dewy look.
Do this when: You have a long list of early morning activities lined up. Ideal if you’re spending the day outdoors and don’t want to worry about your makeup melting.
