The internet is buzzing about yesterday’s big Super Bowl event where the Denver Broncos took down the Carolina Panthers and Bruno Mars and Beyoncé took to the stage for one epic dance battle during Coldplay’s Halftime Show performance.
Never to be outdone, Mrs. Carter performed her new single Formation, clad in a military-inspired leather jacket by Dsquared2 (a tribute to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson), surrounded by her army of women dressed in matching leather outfits by designer Zana Bayne. While everything seemed to go according to plan, the unthinkable happened—the Queen fell. Or did she? In a blink-and-you-miss-it moment, it seemed like she had lost her footing, tipping backwards while slaying the floor hard. But like the superwoman that she is, she quickly recovered by bouncing backwards, creating a new dance craze the internet has dubbed “Beyoncé Bounce.” But what if it was really part of the routine? Watch the video and decide:
While it might take us time to learn how to smoothly recover from an almost disaster, one thing we can take home from Beyoncé’s performance is her flawless makeup look created by makeup artist Sir John. Here we see Queen Bey sporting a honey-kissed look with matching metallic lips and lids that perfectly play up her bronzed skin. Absolutely steal worthy for all the morenas wanting to be part of the Bey Hive!
Sir John says the key to this look is layering, mixing nudes, browns and coppers to create a warm, golden glow. Simply sculpt your lids with a matte brown powder as base and add shimmer by using rust tones on the center of your eyes. Finish off the look with brown eyeliner and layers and layers of black mascara and you’re all set to go!
