One of KC Concepcion’s non-negotiable makeup staples is blush. Being fair-skinned, the actress loves a pop of color on her cheeks to liven up her porcelain complexion. So in the latest episode of Barefaced Beauty, KC walks us through her typical daily makeup routine and reveals a pretty neat trick to making cream blush appear more natural—think more like a rosy glow from within rather than an obvious flush!

The difficulty with applying cream blush is its tendency to move (and remove) your foundation or any base product underneath as you use your fingers to blend, while a stippling brush makes the look streaky and more obvious. In the video, KC dabs a bit of her current fave blush product, Shiseido’s Minimalist Whipped Powder blush, and then blends it onto her skin with a damp beauty sponge. The result is this subtle pinch of color on the cheeks that looks so skin-like and real. It’s perfect for that no-makeup makeup everybody seems to love these days!
