Kris Aquino is known for many things, from being the Queen of All Media to being an awesome single parent (and not to mention, her latest stint at a Hollywood movie). But perhaps, to fashion girls, what's most intriguing is her wardrobe. Don't you ever wonder just how much clothes and shoes she has? Or how she can miraculously fit them all in her closet?
Well, Kris is definitely onto something. She even recently teased her followers on her social media with a new hashtag, #WearKris. Styled by Kimi and Boop Yap and lensed by Mark Nicdao, Kris shot 25 outfits in one day and talked about each of the pieces on cam. She basically created a digital lookbook that documents maybe just a fraction of her closet.
Last friday, Kris released part one of her white collection. From the video, we learned five things:
1. Kris is a creature of habit.
She likes to dress in an outfit where she finds comfort and yet ultimately flatters her still. Take her Lululemon athleisure wear, for example. She loves the black track pants as it conceals and slims her down. Meanwhile, the zipped up top provides ease for her when she needs to change after going into hair and makeup on a shoot day.
2. Once she knows what she likes, she hoards.
Knowing what flatters you means having a streamlined vision when it comes to shopping. And Kris being Kris, she hoards a lot of fashion items abroad that are not available or easily bought in the country. This doesn't have to have a hefty price tag, mind you. Just ask her about her bandeaus from Bangkok.
3. She is in love with anything white.
And who can blame her? White can easily be dressed down or spruced up. It's just a matter of choosing the right cut, fabric, and shape, depending on how your day will go.
4. She knows when to buy fast fashion and when to opt for luxury brands.
A wise piece of advice from the Queen of All Media herself: "[If] a trend will last for just a year or two, you can go for the fast fashion. But if you feel that the trend will last a long time, [go] for the expensive brand."
5. Kris knows that fashion knows no age.
"With just a little creativity, you can be stylish at any age." As long as you feel and look good in an outfit, go ahead and wear it. Go out and carry yourself with confidence!
So whether she'll be selling her pre-loved items or just sharing sartorial lessons to everyone, one thing is for sure: we can't wait for more #WearKris moments!
