The Most Stylish Pairs at the Preview Ball 2025

Published on Sep 5, 2025
A great twinning outfit lies in the art of complementing each other. More than matching pieces, it’s about creating harmony, with one look amplifying the presence of the other.
At the Preview Ball 2025, this interplay of style was on full display as guests arrived at the Marriott Grand Ballroom of Newport World Resorts, presenting their own interpretations of the evening’s theme, “homegrown creative formal.” Some duos leaned into modern takes on traditional attire, while others played around with elements of everyday Filipino life.
Ahead, see some of our favorite matching outfits from the evening.
Former Best Dressed honorees—James in 2023 and Issa in 2024—put a local spin on dandyism with their black-and-white ensembles. Issa pulled from her own wardrobe: a Mich Dulce top paired with a voluminous Laure by Roma skirt, finished with a black beret. James wore a deconstructed suit custom-made by Russell Villafuerte, pieced together from multiple garments, as styled by John Lozano. Both were even twinning in oval sunglasses!

The celebrity dermatologists made a coordinated entrance in Ivar Aseron creations. Their looks shared a flora-inspired motif rendered on piña-like fabric. Hayden’s barong incorporated the detail through an asymmetric vest over a barong, while Vicki’s modern terno gown—with its structured butterfly sleeves—contrasted red panels against the woven textile.

Maja and Rambo championed Filipino textiles at this year’s Ball. Styled by Cath Sobrevega, Maja wore a champagne-toned corset by Bonita Peñaranda with a Randy Ortiz pouf skirt fashioned from T’nalak, a traditional weave from the T’boli tribe. Rambo complemented her earthy palette in a boxy embroidered polo, also by Randy Ortiz, crafted from local fabrics.

Bethany Talbot and Hyna Calderon
Pride 2025 cover stars Bethany and Hyna opted for dark, textured interpretations of Filipino silhouettes. Bethany stunned in a Rhett Eala terno gown with an asymmetric skirt trimmed with lush feathers. Hyna, meanwhile, went full on contemporary with a barong-inspired vest, voluminous gray trousers detailed with handwoven fabric at the pockets, and finished with chunky leather boots.

EchoNine arrived in coordinate pristine whites. Janine wore a modernized camisa de chino by Vania Romoff, styled by Izzy Tuason of The Dandy Project. Jericho, ever the polished gent, donned a floral hand-painted barong by Jorel Espina, as styled by David Millan.

Ben&Ben’s Agnes and Pat took on inventive denim looks by Vina Romero, as curated by Roko Arceo. Their matching ensembles explored texture and detail, a modern twist on the evening’s theme.

OG Fashion blogger Camille Co and her husband, Joni Koro, embraced playful maximalism in HA.MU creations. Camille donned a dramatic ruffled poncho over a reworked skirt she had commissioned way back in 2024. Joni matched her statement look in an oversized striped balloon trousers from the label’s latest collection.

Styled by Jro Alarcio, the Gen Z love team looked dashing in their noir ensembles. Francine wore a strapless corseted gown by Mark Bumgarner, layered with delicate draped tulle. Seth complemented her look in a cropped, beaded suit by Fatima Beltran.

Also Pride 2025 cover stars, Deo and Richmond made an entrance in custom GRUMO designs. Deo’s outfit referenced the pañuelo, featuring a corseted bodice with floral trim and a champagne skirt topped with a ruffled bolero. Balancing the look, Richmond donned a modern barong with voluminous bell sleeves.

The "Pinoy Big Brother" Big Winner duo kept sharp white ensembles that spotlighted Filipino craftsmanship. Brent’s look, designed by Koko Gonzales and styled by Ryuji Shiomitsu, was a nod to contemporary tailoring, while Mika wore a floor-length “wet look” terno gown by Job Dacon, styled by AJ Alberto.

Baron Geisler and Sophia Asistio
The father-daughter duo coordinated in piña fabric creations. Baron stayed classic in a traditional barong tagalog, while Sophia elevated the pairing with a terno bolero layered over a white A-line dress.

Alodia Gosiengfiao and Chris Quimbo
The Quimbo's had a stylish date night at this year's Ball. Chris kept it formal in a barong tagalog, while Alodia wore a glittering pink Francis Libiran ensemble, which featured a sculptural top and wide-leg satin trousers.

Drs. Aivee and Z Teo
The Teo couple spotlight local textiles with their Filipino-made outfits. Aivee donned a Dennis Lustico piece, which was custom-made for her 10 years ago, while Z kept it pared-down with a black polo by Vina Romero.

Laureen Uy and Miggy Cruz
Laureen Uy wore a custom piece by emerging designer Franco Miguel Salvatorre. Styled by Jolo Bayoneta of Stylized Studio, her ensemble featured a cocoon tulip-cut top detailed with scalloped pearl beadwork, paired with a draped lupis skirt that suggested the movement of pearls in water. Each bead was meticulously hand-applied through a biomimicry technique.
Her husband Miggy complemented the look by rewearing his custom Randolf barong, which he first wore for their wedding day.

Pau is Preview’s go-to fashion girl. On most days, you’ll find her with headphones on, coffee in hand, and likely dressed in an oversized blazer and floor-grazing jeans.
