Still not over Now We Are Breaking Up? Rest assured that you're not alone. While the series may have ended on January 8, fans are still torn over what to make of the open ending, and the discussions keep pouring in. To avoid any spoilers, it's safe to say that Ha Young-eun, (played by Song Hye Kyo), closed a significant chapter of her life to start something new. In the final episode, Hwang Chi-sook even gives Young-eun a precious parting gift, telling her that her "time is starting over."
Of course, the present is a beautiful brand new watch, which Young-eun herself is hesitant to receive. In the end, she accepts the gift, telling Chi-sook, "I'll spend my time well."
In case you've been wanting a closer look at the luxury timepiece, we've got you covered.
It's the Laurier Secret Watch in Pink Gold by Chaumet, a luxury jewelry brand for which Hye Kyo serves as an ambassador. The watch is made distinct by an intricate swivel-style shield that covers the watch head. The said cover features a dazzling 268 brilliant-cut diamonds, and is carved from 18-carat rose gold.
The watch case itself is lined with 12 brilliant-cut diamonds for 1.90 carats, and comes in deluxe curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment. The dial is made from black aventurine, a shimmering quartz material that gives the effect of a night sky. The bracelet is just as feminine, too—instead of hard leather, it comes in a powdered black satin strap that echoes the look of the dial, and features a 18-carat rose gold buckle paved with 53 brilliant-cut diamonds.
Hye Kyo has worn plenty of Chaumet pieces over the course of the show, but none has come close to the level of this opulent jewelry watch. According to the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, a prestigious award-giving body in the watchmaking world, the timepiece is priced at 71,600 Swiss francs, or apprximately 4.02 million Philippine pesos.
No wonder Young-eun was hesitant to accept the gift at first—this has to be one of the most high-value presents ever!
