Every now and then, a seriously scroll-stopping outfit enters our radar and prompts some fashion sleuthing. Modern Filipiniana connoisseurs in particular will love this week's spotting: Pia Wurtzbach was seen clad in an obsession-worthy crop top with voluminous puff sleeves, which was styled with a pair of ankle-skimming mom jeans and spindly-heeled mules. She wore the OOTD during a shoot for her collaboration with home decor brand Studio Soliven, and was styled by Qurator Studio. Needless to say, we were 100% invested in tracking down her exact cotton candy top.

The blouse, we soon found, is The Camisa top by none other than Vania Romoff, a renowned local brand that is possibly the exemplar for recontextualizing Filipiniana attire for the sweetly feminine contemporary fashion girl. The Camisa top was launched last July 2020, and has since been an easily-sold-out fan favorite. They will be restocked soon, and can now be reserved ahead of time via the Vania Romoff Studio Instagram page. It sells for P7500, and also comes in black.

The puff sleeve trend is a convenient entry point for the modern Filipiniana aesthetic: Structure a puff sleeve top a certain way and you'll get something that resembles the traditional terno. So, if you want to stay in touch with the trends while sticking to your heritage, you know just what to do. Plus, its feminine shape pairs well with semi-sheer fabrics, inviting the use of piña, jusi, and silk organza.
