We absolutely can’t wait for this weekend’s new episodes of It’s Okay to Not Be Okay! There are only six episodes left before our fave K-drama wraps up, and our questions are all finally being answered one by one. That said, if the teaser preview of Episode 11 is anything to go by, then it looks like happy days await Ko Mun-yeong (Seo Ye Ji) and Moon Gang-tae (Kim Soo Hyun) at long last. But apart from sparks flying, we also can’t help but notice how Ko Mun-yeong’s wardrobe choices have changed. While she’s still decked in designer threads from head to toe, her overall sartorial aesthetic now seemingly leans toward the softer, more feminine side. Even the colors are—dare we say—happier!
ICYMI, we previously reported about the real meanings behind the characters’ outfits in It’s Okay to Not Be Okay. Jo Sang Gyeong, the show’s costume designer, has earlier revealed that the way Ko Mun-yeong dresses is in fact a “self-defense mechanism” to camouflage her vulnerabilities, and as she eventually learns to open up, her wardrobe will also reflect her changing personality, resulting in more “down-to-earth” outfits. Hence, her new looks in the upcoming episodes could actually mean that our beloved leading lady is finally showing some personal growth and is beginning to heal from her inner wounds.
