Same sneakers, different outfits!

White sneakers are a seasonless fashion item that anyone and everyone should own in their closet. They're durable, versatile, and most of all, comfortable. You don't need to have a high fashion I.Q. to be able to style a pair because it goes with virtually anything. However, you do need to be a bit more inventive than others to be able to pull off white sneakers in a non-repetitive way. Breaking the mold takes a little bit of genius, but it won't hurt to take some cues from other fashion girls for ideas. If you'd like to get ahead of the curb and plan new ways to style your sneakers next year, look no further than the inspo we've come up with below. Just make sure you add your own personal touch!

1. Wear your white sneakers with a skirt.

If you're the kind of person who just throws on jeans and a T-shirt to wear with your sneakers, why don't you go for something different next year? Be more adventurous by matching your sneaks with silk skirts, which you can match with pullover sweaters to maintain the comfy factor. You can also wear them with dresses as seen on the Spring/Summer 2020 runway of Ralph & Russo.

2. Wear your white sneakers with a workwear jumpsuit, or any jumpsuit at all.

Take your sneakers' utilitarian vibe up a notch by wearing them with a workwear jumpsuit as seen above. Find one in a color other than military green for a refreshing take. If it's too rugged for your taste, you can try on the more relaxed Canadian tux (a.k.a. the denim tux).

3. Wear them with pleated trousers.

Take a walk on the more masculine side of the spectrum by sporting a pair of pleated trousers with your sneakers. The trousers are a chic, dressy option that elevates the casual vibe of your footwear. For chill days, wear them with cropped tops or tank tops. For days when you need to look a bit more polished, top it off with a blazer.

4. Wear them with really baggy hoodies.

While sneakers don't necessarily look best with anything in particular, there's no denying that it finds its home in the athleisure trend as seen on the Spring/Summer 2020 runway of Burberry Homme. So, why don't you go all out streetwear by wearing your white sneakers with the most outrageous hoodies and sweats you could find? One in an Extra Large size would do the trick. It wouldn't just be avant garde but comfy, too. How could you go wrong?

5. Wear them with relaxed tailored suits.

Stella McCartney and Givenchy went back to basics for Spring/Summer 2020. Stella paired simple white tennis shoes with tailored pieces in relaxed silhouettes like an M-slit trench coat and powder-blue suits with floor-grazing hemlines. Don't think that you could get away with wearing them to formal events, though—there are still dress code rules to abide by. You can, however, opt for this cool combo to smart casual occasions. It seems like this will be a big trend next year as it was also seen in Off-White's Resort collection.

6.  Wear them with retro-inspired pieces.

At Celine's Spring/Summer 2020 show, it was all about the '70s redux with flared jeans, low-cut necklines, aviator shades, and wide buckle belts. The humble white sneaker made its rounds in the collection and was paired with jeans, blouses, and trench coats. Cop the vibe by wearing a peasant blouse with flared jeans, and throw on a structured jacket on top for good measure.

7. Wear them with granny clothing.

Yup, the vintage clothing trend will persist well into the Resort season as seen on the runway of Prada with its oversized chunky knitwear, print-on-print power dressing, and curtain-like floral motifs. A couple of tennis shoes have found its way among the ensembles, and they were aptly worn with colorful socks. The heavy layering doesn't suit our tropical climate, so you can adjust your outfit by opting for shorter hemlines and sleeveless suits.
