This year's Preview Ball had guests rummaging through their high school (or college) closets. Of course, we couldn’t help but take a second look at the different ensembles as a handful of them decided to think beyond a pair of specs and amplify their outfits with an array of quirky accessories. From statement berets to printed socks and, yes, even lightsabers, these Preview geeks have certainly enlightened us on how much of an impact accessories can make on your outfit.
Socks
Plain or patterned, the choice was theirs. Our female geeks made sure they matched their adorable socks with some fancy footwear.
Footwear
Speaking of fancy footwear, a few bright students of Preview University wore their black school shoes on a higher level—well, literally for some.
Patches and Pins
Whoever said that you should wear your heart on your sleeve didn’t know you could also attach patches and pins on your clothes. Luckily, some of our smarty pants got the memo.
Brooch
If patches and pins aren't enough, you can take your ensemble up a notch with the classic brooch.
Hats
Hats off to these ladies who traded their headbands for fedoras and berets.
Neck Ribbons
A little advice from our esteemed geeks: don’t be tied up with a bowtie or a necktie. A neck ribbon is option C!
Lightsaber
We’ve witnessed a number of guests whose #OOTNs were inspired by the crowd favorite Star Wars; but bringing replicas of a lightsaber with you? The force is definitely strong with them!
Specs
But of course, the theme geek wouldn’t have been on fleek without the presence of these too-cool-for-school specs. Who else here wants these stylish kids to be their classmates?
