In a bid to fuel creativity amid the quarantine, fashion brand Marc Jacobs created a “draw-along” series called “Drawn Together,” which was launched last March 31. The weekly series is hosted by one artist on the LVMH brand’s Instagram Live, and audience is invited to paint or draw along.

In its latest episode, NYC-based Filipino artist Vin Servillion hosted the session. Vin decided to have Marc Jacobs’ dog, fondly known as Neville Jacobs, as the subject of his painting, much to the amusement of the session’s viewers. He shared some of their works on his Instagram stories.

After the hour-long session was over, Vin expressed his nervousness prior to hosting it. “First-ever live [session] anywhere and on @marcjacobs Instagram done. I was so nervous TBH. I hope it didn’t show that much. Lol. Got paint in my hair, too. Hope it was as fun for you as it was for me. TTYL, fam,” he captioned a post on Instagram. To which, Marc Jacobs himself reassuringly replied, “Thank you, my beautiful friend, for sharing your he(art), your art, your charm, and yourself with me and all of us today!”

Well, despite Vin’s initial anxiety, it seems that everything went well, if the comments section—flooded with congratulatory messages—is any indication. Comments run along the lines of “so good,” “your style is stunning,” “turned out beautifully,” and one word in French: “exceptionnel.”

Marc Jacobs also mentioned the previous Instagram post that the painting’s subject, Neville himself, was pleased. “We both love the painting!” he said.

According to Vin’s official website, he is a self-taught artist. His frequent subjects include people, eyes, flowers, mundane objects, and fashion. He has the ability “to paint deep expressions in a surreal and haunting yet joyful style echoes a beautiful expressionist take on every piece he creates.”
