Jonathan Anderson introduces a renewed sense of lightness for his sophomore womenswear outing at Dior.

Staged at the Jardin des Tuileries, the historic public garden nestled between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde, the Irish designer unveiled a 65-look lineup. Through it, he proposes a refreshed visual vocabulary for autumn dressing, pairing weightier, richly textured textiles with an overall sense of ease.

For his second womenswear offering, Jonathan turns his attention to the rhythms of everyday Parisian life and fashion’s enduring place within it. The Jardin des Tuileries was reimagined as a promenade for the contemporary Dior woman.

His signatures appeared throughout the lineup. Structure arrived through cylindrical skirts, balanced by fluid textiles and drapery. Organic motifs surfaced in sweeping sculpted silhouettes, fluted hems, fringed accents, and petal-shaped brooches.

As with earlier collections, Jonathan turns to the Dior archive as a wellspring of inspiration. Cascading layers of petal-shaped cuts animated several skirts—an homage to the celebrated Junon Dress by Christian Dior from 1949. Playful details appeared in frog-shaped velvet clutches, peanut-shaped handbags, and heels sculpted into water lilies and roses.

In many respects, Jonathan has a way of making his proposed mode of dressing feel regal yet nonetheless approachable. Nineteenth-century “Regency-core” references—including bustle skirts and deconstructed frock coats—were paired with contemporary staples such as crystal-embellished denim and shearling outerwear.

New interpretations of the historic Bar Jacket also surfaced. This time, it appeared recast as a trench coat, alongside cropped variations with flounced peplums and dramatic, ruffled versions constructed from petal-like tulle. The familiar Bar silhouette took on a “louche and relaxed” character, emerging as crinkled cardigan jackets or elongated lace iterations.

Tactile textiles were central to the collection. Donegal tweeds, plush velvets, and luminous jacquards appeared alongside technical layers—parkas and bombers that transitioned into brocade capes. Jellyfish-like trains, twisted plissé fabrics, and “millefeuilles” tiers of ruffles gave each garment a sense of fluid movement.

Ambassadors and friends of the house flew to the French capital to witness the presentation. Seated front row were Korean stars like BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Hyunjin of Stray Kids, alongside Thai actresses Lingling Kwong, Orm Kornnaphat, and Tontawan.
