At only 24 years old, the actress has become a household name thanks to her filmography and online presence. For someone who just burst into the scene a couple of years ago, Tu already demonstrates what “it” is.

1. Tu is a Scorpio
Tontawan Tantivejakul was born on November 7, 2000 in Bangkok, Thailand. She and her older brother and fellow actor, Tonhon Tantivejakul, were born a year apart. In a variety show guesting, she explained that both of their names are derived from phrases that mean “to be myself” or “to be yourself.”

2. Tu is a dentistry student
Tu began her schooling years at Srinakharinwirot University before she moved to Chulalongkorn University for her secondary and tertiary education. Despite her buzzing schedule, she persistently works towards a degree in dentistry and dreams of becoming a medical practitioner alongside her artistic career.

3. Tu began her career through a music video
A 19-year-old Tu had her small screen debut when she starred in the music video for singer Ink Waruntorn’s Disappointed. In the video, she plays opposite actor Billkin, who she would later work with in 2024 mega-hit How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies.
In mid-2020, the budding actress officially signed a contract with Thai media company GMMTV. Within the first few months of her debut, she already bagged the lead role in the TV series adaptation of Japanese manga Hana Yori Dango, better known as Asian sensation F4.

4. Tu had her breakthrough with F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers
With her first outing as the gutsy Gorya in F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers, Tu soared into public consciousness. Sharing the screen with Win Metawin, Bright Vachirawit, Dew Jirawat, and Nani Hirunkit, who composed the titular quartet, Tu earned several Best Actress recognitions.

She was later cast in lead roles for GMMTV shows Magic of Zero and 10 Years Ticket. One of her most memorable credits is taking part in the music video for K-pop group (G)I-dle’s I Do: A Love Story in Bangkok with frequent co-actor Dew Jirawat.
Fans of the ingenue can look forward to catching her in the upcoming Thai remake of historic drama Scarlet Heart, where she will portray the main character Princess Chao Laila.

5. Tu is an international fashion ambassador
Due to her resounding success and global recognition, Tu has been tapped by several luxury fashion and beauty brands to front their campaigns. One of her most significant partnerships is with the House of Dior, of which she is a global brand ambassador.
Aside from the Parisian label, Tu is also a brand ambassador for Calvin Klein and Puma. Included in her list of luxury endorsements are brands such as Ami Paris and Gentle Monster.
Several global fashion labels have enlisted Tu Tontawan to be their ambassador.
