Jonathan Anderson is often described as an empathetic designer. From his tenure at Loewe to his debut at Dior, the Irish creative has consistently pursued innovation while remaining faithful to the lineage of the houses he leads.
That philosophy was on full display in his first womenswear line for Dior, where he revisited the maison’s codes and reimagined them as wearable works of art. Among the standouts was the Bow bag—an endearing new carrier poised to resonate with the modern Dior woman.
Meet the Dior Bow Bag
The Bow bag translates one of Dior’s most enduring emblems into a sculptural, handheld design. Debuted at the house’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, the piece takes its cue from the bow itself, defined by softly folded contours and a knot-shaped closure. An engineering feat in its own right, the silhouette forms subtle dimples along the upper half—an intentional detail that reinforces its bow-like profile. Should the reference need further emphasis, the bag is finished with a detachable silver chain strap punctuated by miniature bow links.
As stated in Jonathan's show notes, each piece in the collection paid homage to the best of Dior's history and infused it with the sensibilities of today's wearers. "Everything is expressed through the filter of Dior, which is a chromatic sensibility," he expresses, "soft, pictorial, considered, with sudden ruptures."
The Bow bag directly references designs of decades past that have become synonymous with the Dior brand. Haute couture dresses such as the Sans Souci of 1957, the Curacao of 1954, and the Tourbillon of 1956 all informed the structure and color choices of the piece. The result is something irrevocably charming and witty, produced with intent and reputable craftsmanship.
How Much the Dior Bow Bag Costs
As stated, the Bow bag is influenced by Dior's most revered couture creations, which have specifically influenced the hues they're rendered in. Aside from Black and ivory-esque Latte colorways, a pastel pink Rose Sange, luminous Buttercup, and vivid Bleu Tourbillon are also available for P260,000.
The small iteration measures 26 x 16 x 10 cm, making it an ideal carrier for every day agendas. However, a medium version exists for those who require more heft with their purses. This size measures 30 x 17.5 x 12 cm.
If you fancy texture over color, a special iteration of the Bow bag is decked out in clover leaf-shaped embroidery, which harks back to Jonathan's Irish heritage. Sure to bring you some luck of your own, the unique piece will set you back nearly P300,000.
Asian Style Stars Wearing the Dior Bow Bag
As distinct as its design is, the Bow still proves to be a versatile piece that can assimilate into almost any wardrobe. For Dior ambassadors and Thai it girls Orm Kornnaphat, Tu Tontawan, Lingling Kwong, and Kimberley Woltemas, the bag can perfectly punctuate any OOTD. Elsewhere in the region, the Bow is steadily becoming an ubiquitous figure. South Korean idol Kim Min-ju wears her black one on her shoulder to complement her casual 'fits, while Malaysian actress Eyka Farhana clutches hers for a classier touch. The pink iteration gets some love from global style star Irene Kim, who elevates a casual look with the carrier in tow. Likewise, Vietnamese model Tuyet Lan showcases that pink does indeed go good with green.
