Miranda Priestly is (back) in the building.

The anticipation for The Devil Wears Prada 2 is at an all-time high. Many enthusiasts have stayed updated on the sequel's development through behind-the-scenes shots coming out of Manhattan, quickly identifying the pieces donned by returning (and new) cast members.

At midnight in Manila, Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) satiated fans' excitement with a minute-long teaser, depicting the renewed dynamic between her and the Ice Queen, Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep). The head honcho of the fictional Runway Magazine is as fierce as ever, and it looks like she's been wearing more than just Prada in the years that have passed.

The teaser set the scene for fashionable face-offs between Miranda and Andy. A pair of red pumps click-clacked through the floor as depictions of fittings and galas flashed. Of course, the wearer is none other than Mrs. Priestly herself, donning her signature pompadour and stepping into the elevator like she owns it (she probably does). Only this time, someone dares to come aboard with her.

Andy shows up, visibly more mature and confident, as she greets Miranda and puts on her own pair of shades. "Took you long enough," the editor responds in her sullen tone, an undeniable hark back to the 20 years since we last saw them. You can practically hear the squeals from fashion girlies around the world!

The two are embattled with a whole new beast this time around: the algorithm. Emily (Emily Blunt) and Nigel (Stanley Tucci) also return to the fore as Runway Magazine's existence hangs in the balance. While the central plot still has some mystery to it, New York pedestrians and avid Internet folk have gotten sneak peeks of the cast's wardrobes over the past few months. No matter how the story goes, audiences are surely in for a flurry of fashion, with Miranda's throwback pair of pumps already instilling much intrigue.

The Exact Designer Shoes Miranda Priestly Wore

The devil wears... Valentino?

Miranda struts through the floor in an iteration of Valentino's Rockstud Pumps. The shoes represent an era of fashion where embellishments ruled, and heel height was the litmus test of style. Debuted in 2010 by Pierpaolo Picciolo and Maria Grazia Chiuri, they were synonymous with Valentino's social and cultural impact. Miranda's exact pair was rendered in a striking shade of red, fit for a devil, with metal studs at the sole that accentuated her every step. On the resale market, a pair can go for over P20,000.

The styling choice may come off as a surprise for many fans, and not solely because the Runway editor wasn't expectedly in Prada. The Rockstud Pumps can qualify themselves as an archival piece at this point, so it intrigued viewers as to why the most sartorially discerning woman in film would wear them. But if the mechanism of the Internet works its magic, this might just signal a long overdue resurgence. So you can either cop a pair of your own, or dust off that shoebox that you've stowed away about a decade ago!

The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters on May 1, 2026. Gird your loins, ladies.
