Fashion and film once again converged for the annual Golden Globes at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, setting the tone for Hollywood’s awards season.

Kicking off the year’s slate of major ceremonies, the 83rd Golden Globe Awards took place on Sunday, January 11, gathering A-list actors and industry figures to celebrate standout achievements in film from the past year.

As expected, the evening began with the much-anticipated red carpet arrivals. For the fashion folk, the Golden Globes often offer an early indication of the style narratives that will shape the year ahead—and the evening’s showing pointed towards a clear direction: muted colors and generous textures.

Instead of bold hues, designers leaned into texture—embroidery, feather accents, light-catching fabrics, and an abundance of fringe. Consider it a strong case for tactile dressing taking the lead in the months ahead.

Below, the best looks that defined last night’s red carpet.
