Netflix's upcoming animated film KPop Demon Hunters brings together Korea’s biggest cultural exports in a stylishly animated tale that fuses pop stardom with supernatural stakes. But it's not just the music and mayhem turning heads—it’s also the star-studded voice cast with some of the most recognizable names in K-drama.

Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans and produced by Sony Pictures Animation (the minds behind the Into the Spider-Verse), the film follows a global K-pop girl group who moonlight as demon slayers. But their biggest threat isn’t just supernatural—it’s a rival boy band of demons in disguise.

Ahn Hyo Seop as Jinu
Best known for his breakout roles in A Time Called You, Business Proposal, and Dr. Romantic, Ahn Hyo Seop lends his voice to Jinu, the leader among the film's villainous boy band, The Saja Boys.
In a statement, the actor shared, “I still remember the excitement I felt when I first read the script for KPop Demon Hunters. Playing the character Jinu gave me the chance to explore a new way of working. I’m incredibly grateful to directors Maggie Kang, Chris Appelhans, and the amazing cast and crew who supported me throughout the process—I truly enjoyed every moment. Yunjin Kim as Celine
From Lost to Money Heist: Korea and XO, Kitty, Yunjin Kim is a seasoned performer known for bringing elegance and intensity to her roles. In KPop Demon Hunters, she voices Celine, a key character guiding the girl group in their dual mission of stardom and monster-slaying.

Lee Byung Hun as Gwi-ma
No stranger to playing memorable characters, Lee Byung Hun has built a stellar career with titles like Squid Game, Mr. Sunshine, and The Magnificent Seven. As Gwi-ma in KPop Demon Hunters, he adds another complex figure to his filmography. Co-director Chris Appelhans remarked that he and Ahn Hyo Seop bring "authentic K-drama emotion," a fitting nod to their dramatic gravitas in an otherwise fast-paced, genre-blending animated flick.

What Else to Expect in "KPop Demon Hunters"
With a soundtrack featuring original songs by artists like EJAE, Audrey Nuna, REI AMI, Danny Chung, and our very own Broadway legend Lea Salonga, the film doesn’t skimp on musical star power. The producers also collaborated with K-pop heavyweights Teddy Park and THEBLACKLABEL, and fans will hear an exclusive track performed by Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung of TWICE.

Other notable cast members include Arden Cho (Rumi), May Hong (Mira), and Ji-young Yoo (Zoey)—all of whom have made waves in American television. Joining them are Hollywood regulars Ken Jeong (Bobby), Daniel Dae Kim, Joel Kim Booster, and Liza Koshy, whose combined credits span comedy, drama, and blockbuster film franchises.
