Who else could wear a sleeping bag to the VMAs? Audrey Nuna, of course.
Fans of the Netflix smash hit KPop Demon Hunters were treated to a real-life easter egg from one of its singing stars, Audrey Nuna, who arrived at the Video Music Awards on September 7 (New York time) in an ensemble that felt straight out of the animated film. Channeling her character Mira, Audrey turned heads in what looked like a couture sleeping bag—proving that comfort and camp can absolutely rock the red carpet.

The look, designed by Jose Peon of NOOON and styled by Sophie Yoon, is a similar ensemble from the brand’s FW24 “HOME” collection. Think quilted maximalism with an irreverent wink!
Beneath the voluminous puffer, Audrey wore a sharp, leather corset mini paired with oversized, cocoon-like boots that seemed to grow right out of the “sleeping bag” itself. Ashley Ysabelle gave her glowing skin and a wash of blush that kept the look fresh, while Akihisa Yamaguchi twisted her hair into sculptural double braids that doubled as accessories.
Her head-to-toe look included pieces from a global roster of designers: accents by Danish brands Han Kjøbenhavn and South Korean label 604 Service, and stacked accessories from Saeminium and MMWD, both from Seoul. A pair of bold frames from Gentle Monster sealed the look with futuristic flair.
What made this outfit resonate wasn’t just its avant-garde design—it was the way it tapped into Mira’s world. In the hit animated movie, the K-pop idol-slash-demon hunter is mentioned to have attended the Met Gala donning a sleeping bag similar to that of her real-life singer. Fans quickly dubbed Audrey’s ensemble the “sleeping bag slay,” praising her for leaning into Mira’s larger-than-life personality while still making it chic enough for one of music’s biggest nights.

Alongside her castmates EJAE and Rei Ami, Audrey also took the stage to present Album of the Year to Sabrina Carpenter, marking another full-circle moment for the voice actors behind HUNTR/X.
