After leaving the internet mesmerized by their breathtaking underwater prenup shoot in El Nido, Palawan, an unconventional bachelorette party in Siargao, and their official prenup video, it seemed like Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez's much-awaited nuptials saw smooth sailing ahead. Unfortunately, in light of the recent spike of COVID-19 cases in the country, the couple had to make the difficult but responsible decision to postpone their wedding to a later date.
The two just made the announcement on their respective Instagram pages, accompanied by a photo of them with hands held together by the shore, as if hoping for better days ahead. "As much as we want to celebrate our love with our family and friends, in light of the recent situation, we have decided to postpone our wedding as we do not want to put anyone at risk," their joint caption read. "Thank you so much to those who flew in and to everyone who worked so hard for our special day. We only wish good health for everyone and we hope to celebrate with you as soon as things get better. Much love, Richard & Sarah."
As of writing, the official count of COVID-19 patients in the country has run up to 49, seeing alarming growth from last week's numbers.
So far, classes in Metro Manila are suspended until March 14. While rumors of a lockdown within NCR had been circulating on social media, the Philippine Nationa Police earlier denied such speculations. “Contrary to some reports circulating in the social media, please be advised that the PNP has not issued any order for a lockdown in the NCR,” PNP clarified in a statement. "Nonetheless, the PNP is continuously enhancing is preparations to address any contingency. We will update you of any development as the need arises."
