Since Sarah Lahbati announced when she'll be sharing her official prenup shoot with Richard Gutierrez, we all collectively held our breaths in anticipation. Little did we know that the soon-to-be husband and wife literally did the exact same thing for the said shoot—that is, when they were posing underwater.
The couple decided to forego a glam concept for their engagement shoot. Instead, they had the entire set done in El Nido, Palawan, looking absolutely breathtaking by and under the sea. Check out the photos below!
"I've had a lot of requests for underwater shots over the years. The only successful one I posted, as you all saw, was the one last year. I didn't think I could shoot another amazing set until I got to shoot Richard and Sarah's engagement photos," writes photographer Pat Dy on Instagram. "As the fashion saying goes... Don't do any shoot just for the sake of concept especially if your subjects looks awkward. Even the slightest expression can make or break a campaign."
"But when Richard and Sarah free dived, got bitten by small jellyfishes, swallowed water, and [yet still] catered to every request Bob Nicolas and I asked, I knew right away [that it] was going to be an epic engagement shoot." And epic it is.
According to Pat, he even had to take some underwater images with a camera phone. Still, every single shot looked just as stunning.
The photos taken above water were just as dreamy, too.
Don't these look like they came straight out of a romantic movie?
Needless to say, we're absolutely in awe of these photos. We can't wait to see more!
