The Cast
If you loved Itaewon Class, then you’ll be glad to know that Kim Da Mi is finally back! More than a year after the hit JTBC series ended, the actress is once again leading her second drama as Gook Yeon-soo. The character is described as a brilliant student who was always at the top of her class in high school. She grows less sure of herself as she starts working, though, “after dealing with the harsh reality of living as an adult.”
Acting opposite Da Mi is Parasite actor Choi Woo Shik. This marks the pair’s reunion project since starring together in the 2018 mystery action film The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion. Woo Shik will portray Choi Woong in the series, a free-spirited illustrator who didn’t care much for his future back in his school days, a.k.a. the complete antithesis to Da Mi’s character. Guess opposites do attract, after all.
Rounding up the main cast are Kim Sung Chul (Do You Like Brahms?) and Roh Jeong Eui (18 Again, Kill It). The former will step into the shoes of production director Kim Ji-woong, Choi Woong’s childhood friend. Having lived his whole life as a wallfower, his demeanor changes upon getting to film Choi Woong and Yeon-soo’s documentary.
Meanwhile, Jeong Eui will play the popular NJ, a top idol who finds herself falling for Choi Woong after she finds comfort in his drawings.

The Soundtrack
Fans of K-pop group BTS might also want to tune in to the drama, especially if they want to hear V serenading them in the background. Yep, the singer is slated to record an OST for Our Beloved Summer, as produced by music director Nam Hye Seung. Coincidentally, V also sang a solo track for Da Mi’s previous show Itaewon Class, titled Sweet Night.
