Catriona Gray is Miss Universe 2018 we can't believe it! She took home the fated crown, as she won the iconic pageant today, December 17, at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, succeeding Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.
It was a close call as Catriona, wearing a sparkling red lava-inspired gown, bested her fellow contestants in an emotionally and intellectually arduous battle for the top. Her winning question being "What is the most important lesson you’ve learned in your life and how would you apply it to your time as Miss Universe?"
Meanwhile Ms. South Africa and Ms. Venezuela were the first and second runners up respectively. Catriona's win marks the Philippines' fourth Miss Universe win after Gloria Diaz (1969), Margarita Moran (1973), and Pia Wurtzbach (2015).
Congratulations, Catriona! You just made the country proud!
