Kathryn Bernardo has always kept it real on her YouTube channel. From revealing the secrets to maintaining her fit body, to taking fans on a tour of her studio, to getting candid with her beau, Daniel Padilla, the actress has never been shy about sharing personal details of her life in her vlogs.
Of course, a peek at Kathryn’s everyday also means we get to see her real, genuine personality off-script, and her latest video was no exception. ICYMI, we got to know the 25-year-old more after she addressed assumptions other people had about her in a recent upload.
The very first “assumption” got right in the thick of things, guessing that Kathryn is “maarte.” To her credit, the actress was quick to admit that this is indeed true. According to Kathryn, she’s particularly fussy about everything, from the food she eats, to the clothes she wears, to the way she speaks.
While being called “maarte” often has a negative connotation to it, she’s not at all ashamed of this trait of hers. She explained, “Hindi ko naman kinakahiya yun because I don’t see anything wrong with that, as long as nasa lugar. And wala, parang normal yun eh, 'pag babae ka maarte ka, and it’s just me. So aminado ako doon.”
Apart from this, Kathryn also revealed she’s an impulsive buyer, she’s a clingy (but not needy) girlfriend, she likes spicy food, she tends to be hotheaded, and she once applied for fashion school. Yep, the actress also had dreams of becoming a designer, until she realized she didn’t excel at drawing. “Na-frustrate lang ako kaya hindi ko na pinursue yung passion.”
