Social media has become a multitasking platform that satisfies various needs and wants—from connection and self-expression to information and entertainment. It has naturally become an inseparable part of the everyday routines of most individuals.
This is especially true for those who live under the spotlight, like entrepreneur and host Isabelle Daza. Fortunately, she has unlocked “a little hack” that allows her to use social media while protecting her mental health at the same time.
The “Post and Ghost” Concept, As Explained by Isabelle Daza
Isabelle talked about the “Post and Ghost” concept, which is something she learned from others. As the name suggests, it refers to the practice of posting your content and then “ghosting,” or exiting the platform. “You don’t look at other people’s lives. You don’t look at how many likes you have, the content, and the shares. You just ghost it.”
The Preview 30 icon candidly revealed that scrolling through online platforms can bring up negative feelings. “You’re constantly seeing others, and then you’re constantly measuring yourself against others—whether it be your likes, your comments.” She continued, “It’s this never-ending rat race.”
With that said, the simple concept is something she’s been practicing more often. “It’s been making me feel really good,” she said. “I’m on the platform, but then I’m off it. I’m not comparing myself with everyone else.”
Netizens Share Their Thoughts on the “Post and Ghost” Concept
It turns out that several personalities have also been practicing the “Post and Ghost” concept. This includes business mogul Small Laude, photographer Magic Liwanag, and designer and Preview Hall of Fame 2026 honoree Cyndi Fernandez-Beltran.

Netizens empathized with Isabelle as well, underscoring the importance of simply doing what makes you happy. Actor Alex Diaz also pointed out the “contradiction” of social media. “We want to show up but are still learning how to over and over each day,” he wrote.

Others recognized the purpose driving the concept but offered a different perspective. Eventologist and Isabelle's fellow Preview 30 icon, Tim Yap, for instance, prefers the “reverse of ghosting.” “I celebrate and am genuinely happy to see that they are succeeding in life and online.” To this, Isabelle responded with an “amen.”
Other netizens also came forward to encourage people to appreciate themselves more without needing validation from others.
