Instagram's dark mode has finally dropped! You can now discretely creep through your feed at night without straining your eyes or disturbing anyone. The move sees the photo-centric app following suit after Facebook Messenger and Twitter, that both have made the feature accesible on their mobile versions months in advance.
Instagram's current head, Adam Mosseri, announced the news on Twitter yesterday. "Starting today, you can use Instagram in dark mode on iOS 13 or Android 10," he stated.
IPhone users with iOS 13 and the latest version of Instagram downloaded will already find themselves in dark mode by simply opening the app. However, if you want to learn how to shift back-and-forth, all you have to do is open your settings on Instagram, tap the display and brightness tab, and choose the dark option.
Android 10 holders can follow these similar steps on their phones. From settings, tap the display tab, click advanced, and choose dark from the menu.
