The Exact Film Camera Dustin Yu Uses
The camera in Dustin’s hand has a distinctive silhouette, which gives away that it's none other than Fujifilm’s Instax Mini 11.
Designed to be quick, simple, and enjoyable to use, the instant camera is ready to shoot after loading two AA batteries and Instax Mini film, then powering it on with a single click. Once activated, the lens automatically extends, allowing you to start capturing moments right away.
A small mirror positioned beside the lens also makes framing selfies more convenient. For close-range shots, the lens can be pulled outward to enable a more precise focus on subjects within arm’s length. The camera uses ISO 800 film, while its built-in flash helps ensure that images are properly illuminated.
Given that it is an entry-level option in the world of film photography, it is best not to expect the sharpest or most highly detailed images. Instead, it delivers that nostalgic, unmistakable film quality—just enough to make you look back on your memories with fondness and linger in those moments a little longer. Each print develops in about 90 seconds, resulting in keepsakes you can hold on to for years to come.
Bianca and Dustin have yet to share the photos they captured with the Mini 11, but it is comforting to know that they now have tangible, personal mementos from their trip.
