Our days have definitely been happier with the influx of new K-dramas on Netflix, and yet we still find ourselves scrolling through the many options, unable to choose what to binge-watch next. Take our advice when we say that Business Proposal should be first on your list! The new office drama centers on the usual employee-turned-fiancee of CEO trope, but the show gives a new spin on the office romance genre with Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Sejeong’s comedic chemistry. While we continue to enjoy the main actors’ dynamics, you should definitely also watch out for newbie and veteran actors joining in on the fun!

1. Kim Sejeong as Shin Ha-ri

Kim Sejeong is the embodiment of a charismatic all-rounder—she can sing, dance, act, and make you laugh. Her energetic personality landed her roles in variety shows such as Talents for Sale, Get It Beauty, Baek Jong-won's Alley Restaurant, and Netflix’s Busted. She first proved her talent in acting after she won the Best New Actress award at the 31st KBS Drama Awards for her debut role in School 2017. After this achievement, Sejeong went on to star in I Wanna Hear Your Song and the mystery-fantasy series The Uncanny Encounter.
Before becoming a mainstay MC and actress, Sejeong rose to prominence for placing second in the idol survival show Produce 101. She then debuted in the project girl group I.O.I. After their disbandment, she re-debuted with the now dissolved girl group Gugudan.
2. Ahn Hyo Seop as Kang Tae-mu

After his recent drama Lovers of the Red Sky, Ahn Hyo Seop has undoubtedly become one of the hottest leading actors right now. He established his career after the success of Dr. Romantic 2 where he starred alongside Lee Sung Kyung. The drama earned him a Best New TV Actor Award at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards. Before all this, though, you might have already encountered him in his supporting role for My Father Is Stranger, and for his lead roles in Queen of the Ring, Still 17, and Abyss.
Before transitioning to acting, Hyo Seop was a K-pop idol like Kim Sejeong. He trained in JYP Entertainment and was in the line-up to become a member of the idol group GOT7. After failing to secure himself a spot, he instead debuted in the now disbanded group One O One.
3. Kim Min Kyu as Cha Sung-hoon

Can you believe that Kim Min Kyu has been in the industry since 2013? He may have received attention just recently after acting alongside Jung Hae In in Snowdrop, but did you know the up-and-coming actor has already landed his first lead role? ICYDK, he starred with actress Jin Se Yeon in Queen: Love and War. Min Kyu has also played small supporting roles in Because This Is My First Life, So I Married the Anti-fan, and a cameo in Backstreet Rookie.
4. Seol In Ah as Jin Young-seo

While Seol In Ah portrays Ha-ri’s lovable best friend in Business Proposal, she was the opposite in School 2017. That’s right, the two have starred together before, and back then, she portrayed Sejeong's nemesis. In fact, she's had her fair share of playing this type of character in dramas like Record of Youth and Strong Woman Do Bong-soon.
In Ah has also proven her talent as a main actress in her debut lead role for Sunny Again Tomorrow, which earned her the Best New Actress Award at the 2018 KBS Drama Awards. A year after, she received another award for her second starring role in Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life. In 2020, she had a supporting role in the historical hit drama Mr. Queen.
5. Lee Deok Hwa as President Kang Da-goo
Highly acclaimed veteran actor Lee Deok Hwa plays the grandfather of Tae-mu and the CEO of Go Foods’ parent company. Having been active in the industry for almost 50 years, some of his most recent television appearances were for the dramas Suspicious Partner, Hit the Top, Welcome to Waikiki, and The Red Sleeve.
6. Victon’s Choi Byung Chan as Shin Ha-min

Although he's mostly known as a member of idol group Victon and for participating in the survival show Produce X 101, Choi Byung Chan has been slowly building his reputation as an actor after he made his acting debut in JTBC’s Live On. He also had a supporting role in the 2021 historical drama The King's Affection. In Business Proposal, he stars as Shin Ha-min, the younger brother of Shin-Hari.
7. Song Won Seok as Lee Min-woo

Song Won Seok plays Lee Min-woo, Shin Ha-ri’s unrequited university crush. Since his debut in 2012, he's acted in shows like Joseon Survival, Never Twice, Sweet and Salty Office, and Entourage. Won Seok also previously worked with Hyo Seop for My Father Is Strange and Lovers of the Red Sky.
