Breathe easy for a while in this incredibly IG-worthy café right in the middle of busy Makati: Bon Appetit Café. Situated within the newest lifestyle complex, 1120 House, the cafe's retro-glam, arced windows-lined, white stucco exteriors are already super aesthetic.
The café itself is endowed with the rustic charms of the French countryside: an abundance of natural light, a kaleidoscope of muted pastels, and mismatched yet totally harmonious accents. Case in point: Who knew that vintage-inspired, ornately embroidered arm chairs go so well with rattan and solihya seats? Also pleasantly surprising is their style team, Open House Design’s choice for the hanging fixtures. The fun '70s pendant lights and natural basket chandeliers definitely keep the space bright and interesting.
Masterfully infused with tropical greenery, the homey café feels modern and fresh, while being warm and inviting. This delicious balance of comfort and contemporary also spills over to their menu. Boasting of casual, French-inspired bistro food, they offer a full menu that includes a gluten-free French Onion Soup (P345), a Roasted Onion and Gruyere Pasta (P385), and a Roasted Pork Ribs and Truffle Mushroom Sandwich (P695).
For brunch with the girls, you will not regret trying their gluten-free Coconut Pancakes (P495) with blueberry compote and organic maple syrup and Purple Yam French Toast and Fruits (P365). Pair this with their Happy Uplifting Tea with Lemon Balm Featuring Teapigs (P110) or a Freshly Squeezed Orange and Mint juice (P190) to complete your meal.
