If you’ve haven’t caught news of Taylor Swift’s trending music video Cardigan—or her new hit album Folklore—where have you been? Since its release, we just can’t help but gush over the video’s ethereal backdrops, dreamy effects, and of course, the noticeably understated look star Taylor wore. Following that, fans were pleasantly surprised when the renowned singer noted in her Instagram post that she did her own make-up and hair for the video.
Given that she shot the MV in the middle of the pandemic, Taylor made sure to follow safety protocols, throughout the entire production. This also meant involving only the skeletal forces to make the video. Hence, Taylor figured she can be her own glam team—and so she did!
Noticeably, Taylor ditched her iconic red lip for a more pared down look. She instead opted for a simple no-makeup makeup look to team with a plain shift dress, cardigan, and plaited low knots. Now, if you ask us, this uncomplicated beauty look is easily wearable even at home, when we go attend virtual meetings or when we’re heading out for a grocery run. Even Taylor’s dainty braided buns and air-dried fringe are perfect to beat the sweltering Manila heat.
