If you think about it, the worst part about getting a zit is not actually the pimple itself. It's dealing with the massive amount of swelling and redness, which makes it stick out like a sore thumb. That's where skincare comes in, presenting countless options for acne treatments. Still, even the most effective ones can take hours, days, or sometimes weeks to work—and as we all know, there are simply instances when we just need our pimple taken care of and done fast. Don't worry, though! We bring good news.
For a pimple that's extra swollen and red, the quickest fix has apparently been inside your medicine cabinet the entire time: eye drops. It contains an ingredient called tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride, which most anti-redness formulas have, and it constricts blood vessels to immediately reduce swelling and redness. Hence, applying this to your pimples makes them less obvious for a few hours!
To use, just soak a cotton bud with eye drops and let it sit over your zit for a minute or two to let it work its magic. Do note that this will only make your pimple less red and it won't reduce its size. It also only lasts for a few hours. Then again, anything that'll save you the trouble (and concealer!) is worth it.
