More than using a good highlighter, achieving dewy skin depends on how well your skincare and makeup go together. Some products work better when paired with a certain ingredient or formula, so make it your beauty mission to find your own killer combo. Take for example Hannah Pangilinan, who nailed the glassy skin look for a friend's debut:
According to her makeup artist Anton Patdu, her glow is the result of three key products. "I didn't use any primers [for this look]. Instead, I used La Mer's Renewal Oil, which made her skin super supple," he explains. The oil gave Hannah's skin a pre-makeup sheen, which served as a fantastic base for her foundation. It's also a great alternative to highlighter, in case you haven't found your perfect shade yet.

To even out her skin tone, Anton buffed a thin layer of La Mer's foundation with a stippling brush, which he says helps deposit the right amount of product onto the face. It's definitely a good tool to use if you tend to overapply!
Overall, the combination of the face oil and the foundation's natural finish created a photogenic, skin-like glow on Hannah. And to make sure her skin stayed that way all night, Anton lightly powdered over the foundation. "La Mer's powder contains a little bit of shimmer, so it sets the skin and makes it dewy at the same time," he explains. The powder will control any excess oil from coming through without sacrificing the glow you just created!
