It’s no secret that if your goal is to have that dewy, moisturized glow, you reach for a bottle of MAC Cosmetics’ strobe cream. What is “strobe cream,” you ask? For starters, it’s basically light in a bottle. Aside from being a foolproof highlighter, it can also be used as moisturizer or as primer (worn under your foundation). But when you’re living in the tropics where the humid weather can give you an instant highlight, how does one properly use this wonder cream to not look, well, too shiny? Here, we get a few tips from MAC’s senior artist, Louise Zizzo.
MAC Strobe Cream, Php1,800, MAC stores and counters nationwide
#1: You don’t necessarily have to use it all over the face.
“Strobe cream is a special effect product that can give you an all-over glow.”
#2: Control the product.
“Some people like to use it mixed in with their foundation but what I personally like is to use it after foundation and just apply it on the high points of the face to really bring out a nice dewy glow, as opposed to an overall shine.”
#3: A little bit of strobe cream goes a really, really long way.
“With the use of a flat brush, gently pat it on areas of the skin that you really want to glow. Use it on the cheeks and on the temples.”
