The no-makeup look, while it’s easy and fuss-free, can also border on dull and boring. So to subtly glam it up, try to experiment with a little isolated placement of color on your face. A bold lippie may do just the trick, but there’s also another beauty product (often overlooked) that can get the same job done: colored eyeliners.
Be wary, however. Colored eyeliners can easily drag your glammed up face to that of a 12-year-old girl's who's been playing with makeup. So here’s how you can easily wear colored eyeliners from day to day.
Keep it close to your lash line.
If you just want to try this trend, closely follow your lash line to control the color intensity that you want. It’s easy to apply more as you go along.
TRY: Nars Blue Lotus Velvet Eyeliner, Alabang Town Center
Create a colored smokey eye by smudging the liner across your lids. It will give you a faint pop of color, perfect for a luncheon meeting or a Sunday brunch.
TRY: Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in Burgundy, SM Megamall
Go bold or go home.
Ditch the eyeshadow altogether and swipe your liner across your lid and flick it to create a cat eye at the end.
TRY: NYX Colored Felt Tip Liner in Teal, Beautymnl.com
Place it strategically.
You can keep the color just at the inner part of your eye, or do your own version of an ombre eyeliner by finishing the flick at the end with a darker color.
TRY: Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Emerald, Beauty Bar stores
